What if there was no tomorrow? Today, you probably woke up, made coffee, rushed to get ready for work without even considering how precious your life really is. I’m guilty of this as well. Most of us go through our days and don’t even think that this could be our last hour.
Now, I’m not trying to be morbid by saying that. I want you to honestly take 30 seconds and sit back and really think about your life. Think about your day. Think about your week. Think about this past month. Now, I want you to think of this: what if the decisions you choose today affected not just tomorrow, but eternity? The things that we say, think and do could potentially determine whether we have the chance to sit at the Father’s right hand or not.
When we think about our lives, we normally think about what is most important to us. The obvious answers of family, friends and health normally come to the front of our minds. What about Jesus? What about the God of the universe? Where is He on your list of importance? When you think about your life, my hope is that you genuinely look into your heart and know where you stand with God. Jesus said in John 14:16 ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’ (NIV) Please take time in your day to be thankful for the things that are important to you. Also, take time to understand how much God loves us and how precious your life truly is.
